The most-ignored repair in Texas

Pipe jacks. Every home has 2–5 plumbing vents penetrating the roof, each sealed with a rubber boot. Texas UV cracks that rubber within 8–12 years — and once it cracks, water runs straight down the pipe into your ceiling.

If your home is 10+ years old and you’ve never had pipe boots replaced, do it. A $400 repair prevents a $3,000 drywall project.

Warranty

Every repair carries a written 12-month workmanship warranty

Every repair Atrium performs carries a written 12-month workmanship warranty. It covers the workmanship of the repair we did. If that repair does not hold the way it should, we come back out and put it right.

One thing worth being clear about: the warranty covers the repair we performed, not the condition of the rest of your roof. If your roof is twenty years old and we reflash a chimney, the chimney work is what we stand behind. The rest of the roof keeps aging at its own pace, and we will tell you honestly where it stands.

It is not insurance. It does nothing for storm, hail, or wind damage, which is what an insurance claim is for.

Repair FAQs

If the roof is under 15 years old and the damage is isolated, yes. If repairs would exceed 30% of a replacement cost, or you’ve had leaks in multiple locations, replacement is almost always the better financial decision.

New shingles will look slightly brighter for the first year, then blend in. If your roof is more than 10 years old, exact color match is difficult because shingles fade in Texas sun.
